About

Hostelle is the first and only women hostel in Amsterdam. Hostelle was started with the idea to provide a safe and fun place for women who are travelling to Amsterdam to stay, so that you only need to focus on sightseeing and enjoying yourself while you are here. For travellers with a small budget Hostelle is ideal, we are very well communicated with the airport and the city centre (only a 15 minute metro ride away from Central Station). Hostelle will offer you a homelike atmosphere and make you feel like you are staying among friends!

Hostelle offers shared dormitories with 4-, 8-, 10 and 12 beds. The dorms all have bunkbeds. Every bed has its own shelf and locker to keep your valuables and a table with chairs (padlocks are for sale at the reception). You will find comfy beds and soft, fluffy pillows. Linen is included and a reading light. Every dorm has its own theme. Some rooms have been decorated by local artists from Amsterdam. You might even find some surprises!

First time staying in a Hostel and was really impressed, the lady on the front desk was very helpful and lovely, the place was reasonably clean considering how many people were using the facilities. It’s easy enough to get to the train and metro station, about 10 min walk. You can hire towels although they were small. You can buy a padlock to lock your locker under your bunk for your luggage. We felt very safe and comfortable during our stay

The location of this hostel is too far from the city center and is a lengthy walk from the metro in a not so safe area. The hostel is next to a shopping complex. Check out was by turning a paper card given at check in which is very impractical because if I lost the card it would be hard to check out. When I checked in staff didn’t tell me where the toilets or shower was or give me information about hostel rules. The bedsheet and pillowcase had stains and there was black mold in the shower.
