I would not stay here again- the whole hostel was run down and dirty, especially the kitchen. There was no social atmosphere at all and seemed a lot of people were long term residents. The location was very central and it was cheap but just book somewhere else for a more comfortable stay.

I’m a solo traveller and stayed in an all-female dorm here in Auckland. It’s definitely a budget hostel and a bit run down but the facilities were working well and kept clean (with the exception of the kitchen bin, which I feel needs a lid), this was the most importantly factor for me. The hostel was quiet when I stayed there and I felt quite safe, the floors all have lock codes after 10pm, in addition to the room key cards.

Stay here was ok! (Just ok) The rubbish bins had been left out so there were a lot of flies (kitchen, 2nd floor courtyard and entry way) unfortunately. Kitchen and dining area didn’t feel clean. Bed was clean and room was ok. Walls however are thin and the location is above a nightclub so heard a lot of music through the walls which made it hard to sleep. Staff were lovely though and the location in the heart of the city and next to Albert Park was ideal. Stay was overall ok but not great.
